• NEW ZEALAND - ISLANDS OF ADVENTURE

    33 Days From£6,895 PP
Join us on this actioned-packed adventure to the Land of the Long White Cloud, visiting 4 of the country’s many islands – North, South, Stewart and White Islands.
This trip is ideal for travellers who have already visited New Zealand and want to see a different side to this fascinating country, or for those who want to get off the beaten track.

Starting in Christchurch, passing through the remote and rugged coastline of the Catlins, you will take a ferry to visit Stewart Island, New Zealand’s third largest island. Take a trip on Doubtful Sound for a more remote wilderness experience than Milford Sound. Head up to Abel Tasman National Park, with its Mediterranean climate and take a kayak excursion into the Big Tonga Marine Reserve. After enjoying a winery tour in Marlborough country, cross Charlotte Sound to North Island where we will take a jet-boat trip to the Bridge to Nowhere and a motorised railcart journey on the Forgotten World Highway. Enjoy a boat cruise on Lake Taupo to see the Maori carvings and learn about Maori history and culture.

To round off the trip, we will take a boat to White Island, New Zealand’s only active volcano and get up close to roaring steam vents, bubbling pits of mud, hot volcanic streams and the amazing lake of steaming acid – a truly amazing experience.

Most of the drives on this tour are easy with well maintained tarmac roads. A number of the activities on this tour require some walking and/or physical exertion.
