Drive along the Yellowhead Highway into the Wells Gray Provincial Park (163 miles), one of BC’s largest at 540,000 hectares. There is plenty of time to explore the park, a vast wilderness of alpine meadows, mountain peaks, glaciers, lakes, rivers, extinct volcanoes and waterfalls. Travel to Mt Robson Provincial Park (173 miles), home to 3,954m Mt Robson, the highest peak in the BC Rockies. From here on you may spot moose, mountain goats, mule, grizzly and black bears, deer, elk, marmots, chipmunks, caribou, squirrels, muskrats, beavers and up to 170 bird species. Overnight Mount Robson Provincial Park campsite.
